Sat Sri Akal!
We’re looking forward to our first club event next week: the Hola Mohalla ride! We’ll be kicking off our club by celebrating Hola Mohalla with a group ride on Saturday, March 27.
If you’re cycling outside of the Bay Area (California), participate this weekend with your own ride (actual or virtual) and share the details/photos! We’ll post on our Instagram, Facebook and website.
For those who will be riding in person in the Bay Area, please note the following details for the ride:
Date/time: Saturday, March 27. Meet by 8:30am. Ride promptly by 9:00am.
Location (start & finish): Fremont Gurdwara Sahib, 300 Gurdwara Rd, Fremont, CA 94536
Route options:
- 51 miles, 2,500 ft. climbing (approx.)
- 40 miles, 1,000 ft. climbing (approx). This will be the same as above but will turn back at the start of the Calaveras Climb for any who are more comfortable with a flatter route.
Note that you are joining this ride entirely at your own risk. Please take all safety precautions and ensure that you are representing our Sikh community to the public in a responsible way. In additional to regular cycling precautions and respecting traffic laws, please abide by the appropriate COVID19 guidelines in your area, including:
- Face masks within 6 ft.
- Social distancing
- Hygiene (hand washing/sanitizing)
Ride info, including route, is on the Sikh Cycling Club page on Strava. Please RSVP there so we know to expect you.
