Rider Profiles: Fateh to Harjap Singh!

This series highlights the people who make up Sikh Cycling Club, near and far, and the different ways they ride, show up, and carry this community forward.

Meet Harjap Singh, joining us from Sacramento, California.

Harjap’s journey into cycling began last year with a gifted gravel bike. What started as curiosity quickly turned into commitment. When he takes something on, he goes all in. He began riding with Natomas Jibe and Natomas Cycling Club, learning from others and pushing himself to see what both his body and bike were capable of.

What drew him in wasn’t just the speed or the effort, but the feeling. The adrenaline. The escape from the everyday. And the sense of community that came with riding alongside others.

Over a year ago, Harjap saw Sikh Cycling Club riding into the Yuba City Nagar Kirtan in California. The image stayed with him. That moment became a goal. To get stronger, to ride farther, and to one day join the group. Last November, he did just that, riding the full 100 miles into Yuba City with us.

This past year, the Miri Piri ride from El Sobrante Gurdwara to Treasure Island and back stands out most. Riding together, pushing limits, and taking in the view along the way.

We’re honored to be part of Harjap’s journey. From a beginner cyclist finding his rhythm to taking on century rides alongside this community, his path reflects what’s possible when commitment meets purpose.
