This series highlights the people who make up Sikh Cycling Club — near and far — and the different ways they ride, show up, and carry this community forward.
Meet Parbrahm Singh Sandhu, joining us from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada!
During COVID, Parbrahm took his dad’s aluminum hybrid bike out for a short 10 km ride. What started as a way to get outside turned into something deeper — a reconnection to the joy of riding and a reminder of the child within that life had slowly buried.
Today, cycling gives him space to clear his head, strengthen his body, and set an example for his young kids about caring for both mental and physical well-being.
Parbrahm found Sikh Cycling Club knowing he couldn’t be the only Sikh waking up at 5 a.m. for long rides. While he hasn’t yet ridden with the club in person, he rides virtually, represents the club in Surrey, and shared miles around White Rock and the Peace Arch when members were in BC.
We appreciate Parbrahm for carrying the spirit of Sikh Cycling Club across borders, seasons, and terrain!
