Our next Sikh Cycling Club ride is this Saturday!
Join us in the Bay area as we celebrate of Miri Piri Diwas, commemorating Guru Hargobind, the sixth Guru of the Sikhs, donning of two swords in 1606 to combine miri and piri — temporal and spiritual authority — and declaring that Sikhi is to be lived in the real world informed by spiritual awareness. It is through our spiritual ethos that we stand against injustice and raise the voices of the oppressed. The legacy of Guru Hargobind’s declaration defines our how we engage in our world even today.
This year, we’re riding around the Bay area starting at Gurdwara Sahib of Milpitas (1180 Cadillac Ct, Milpitas, CA 95035) through Silicon Valley, for a total mileage of about 45 miles. This year, in the spirit of miri and piri, we’re offering gravel options on the route!
Please arrive in time to be ready to ride by 8 AM. More information, including route details, is available on our Miri Piri Ride page on Strava.
Feel free to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
