Thanks to everyone who joined our 1984 Commemoration Ride this past Saturday! We had five enthusiastic Sikh cyclists come out to ride 84 kilometers in honor of the June 1984 massacre. It’s our way of keeping our history alive and in our minds.
We rode over the rolling hills of Sonoma County, through pastures and farmland, amidst forests with giant redwood trees, and over sparkling rivers. It was a warm and pleasant day for a ride, camaraderie and reflection.
May we never forget those who lost their lives 37 years ago this week, and may we continue to learn the lessons from history so it can never happen again.
Our next Sikh Cycling Club event will be in mid to late July. Stay tuned!
