The 2026 Sikh Cycling Club season begins!

Five Years Forged

In 2021, Sikh Cycling Club began with a simple idea.

To bring Sikhs together on the road.
To ride in our identity.
To show that Sikh spirit moves just as naturally through cycling as it does through seva, sangat, and daily life.

What began with a handful of riders in California has grown into something much larger in spirit. Today, the idea of Sikh cycling — riding proudly in our identity and community — is appearing in many places around the world.

We’re grateful to see that spirit spreading.

Where It Began

In 2021, Sikh Cycling Club held its first ride in Fremont, CA.

The roots of Sikh Cycling Club go back further than 2021.

In 2012, a small group of Sikh cyclists organized the Sikh Century, a 100-mile ride celebrating the centennial of the first Sikh Gurdwara in the United States in Stockton, California. It was a powerful moment that brought together cycling, community, and Sikh identity.

Years later, in 2019, that spirit reappeared when Sikh riders once again gathered for a long ride, this time cycling together to the Yuba City Nagar Kirtan.

That ride reminded us how natural it felt for Sikh cyclists to ride together in identity and community.

In 2021, that spirit formally became Sikh Cycling Club.

What began as a handful of riders has grown into a community that continues to ride together across California and beyond.

Panj — Five Years

This year marks the completion of our first five years.

In Sikh tradition, Panj represents strength, discipline, and the foundations that support what comes next. Our first five years have been about building that foundation — ride by ride, mile by mile, year by year.

Now we begin the next chapter.

Sarbloh — Forged in Iron

The theme for this year is Sarbloh.

Sarbloh — “all iron” — represents strength, resilience, and purity of purpose. Iron is forged through heat and pressure until it becomes something strong and enduring.

Cycling has a similar rhythm. Long miles, hard climbs, early mornings, and shared effort gradually shape us into something stronger — as riders and as a community.

Over the past five years, Sikh Cycling Club has been forged in much the same way.

To reflect this theme, you’ll see a simplified visual identity throughout the year, including the Sikhs.CC mark.

In cycling, the “CC” suffix has long been used to denote a cycling club. By using Sikhs.CC, we are claiming that space more clearly — a simple and direct expression that Sikh cyclists belong on the road, riding together in identity and community.

Minimal. Purposeful. Forged.
