On Saturday, October 18, Sikh Cycling Club invites you to our annual climb of Mt. Diablo in Danville, CA. This ride is a celebration of Diwali and Bandi Chorh Divas, bringing together community, cycling, and the spirit of liberation.
Riding Into Light
Diwali is the festival of light, a time when lamps and candles brighten homes across the world. For Sikhs, it is also the day of Bandi Chorh Divas, celebrating Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji’s release from prison and the liberation of 52 kings.
Our climb of Mt. Diablo reflects this journey from darkness into light. As we ascend together, the symbolism of effort, resilience, and freedom comes alive on two wheels.
