On September 7, Sikh Cycling Club rode an 85-mile loop across the Sacramento region, visiting nine different Gurdwaras in a single day. We began at West Sacramento Gurdwara Sahib and carried the tradition all the way through South Sacramento, Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Orangevale, Roseville, Rio Linda, and North Sacramento before returning to West Sacramento.
Along the way we shared langar, spoke with sangat, and saw how diverse Sikh life is in California’s capital. Some Gurdwaras are large and well established, others are small congregations still building new homes. Together, they reflect the breadth of our community and the equality at the heart of Sikhi.
This ride is more than distance. It is a pilgrimage by bike, a reminder that faith is not confined to buildings but lives in the ordinary moments, in the road itself, and in the spirit we bring to the journey.
