As we wrap up 2024, we reflect on an incredible year of cycling, community, and connection. Sikh Cycling Club achieved remarkable milestones while honoring our shared history and promoting the joy of riding together. We held eight events in Northern California, coinciding with major Sikh celebrations and anniversaries.
2024 Highlights
- 🚴♂️ Fourteen cyclists from near and far completed the 100-mile Sikh Century to Yuba City Nagar Kirtan, pushing their limits and celebrating together at the finish.
- 🌟 Ten cyclists joined the Sacramento Tour of Gurdwaras, exploring local routes and connecting with the Sangat along the way.
- 🕊️ We proudly unveiled special commemorative kits to mark the 40th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, riding in honor of resilience, remembrance, and unity.
Commemorating Our Heritage
2024 was a year to reflect on our past and share its significance. By wearing commemorative kits, we not only paid tribute to those who came before us but also sparked conversations about the strength and spirit of the Sikh community.
In concert with the Paris Olympics this year, we also released special t-shirts honoring Sikh cyclists competing in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
Building Bonds Through Cycling
Whether it was tackling steep climbs, cruising scenic flats, or sharing laughs over langar after a ride, the bonds we built this year are what truly define Sikh Cycling Club.
