Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
Join us in the Bay area on July 1 as we celebrate Miri Piri Divas, commemorating when Guru Hargobind, the sixth Guru of the Sikhs, donned two swords in 1606. He did this to symbolize the combining of miri and piri — temporal and spiritual authority — to declare that Sikhi is to be lived in the real world informed by spiritual awareness. It is through our spiritual ethos that we stand against injustice and raise the voices of the oppressed. The legacy of Guru Hargobind’s declaration defines how we engage in our world even today.
We return to Gurdwara Sahib Milpitas to ride around the South Bay. Total mileage will be a flat 45 miles.
More information, including route details, is available on our Strava event page here.
Feel free to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
